School Grounds
[ ]Bathrooms
The most important room in a person's life! Our bathrooms can accommodate up to ten people at a time. Stalls line the wall opposite the entrance -- in the case of the boys room, urinals line the adjacent wall as well; the girls room has a three seater sofa sitting on the wall adjacent to the stalls. A large, circular sink sits in the center of the room. Run your hands under the faucet and the water automatically runs, take your hands away and it stops. The girls room, with wall to wall white tiles and painted a dusty rose makes it a relaxing atmosphere. Conversely, the boys room is decorated in black and white checkered tile and deep green walls.

[ ]Caretaker's Office
This small, dusty room is cluttered with objects confiscated from various students. Everything from exploding bubble gum to black-eye omnoculers litter this room, with more items being added all the time.

[ ]Classrooms
Within lies the boards for all classes offered at the LaFey Academy.
00
[ ]Dining Hall
The faculty, students, and guests of the LaFey Academy eat in this room. The dining hall includes finely made tables surrounded with chairs instead of benches. A large fireplace behind the faculty dining table dominates the room, the smoke drawn into a stony hood that goes into the ceiling. The mural-covered walls depict famous witches and wizards of centuries past. The floor is made of polished cobblestone. The hall seats 100 people comfortably. House elves bring food and remove empty dishes.
00
[ ]the Gardens
This are is easily the most picturesque place on the grounds. This area is surrounded by flowers, shrubs, and trees of every nature and kind. In the center of this paradise is a spurting fountain. A rock garden sits a short distance away next to a serenity pond in which swim around pleasantly. At the north end of the gardens, five bushes of normal-looking, yet enchanted, roses grow. The Test of the Roses is to determine what relationship truly lies between two people -- white = indifference, yellow = friendship, pink = romance, red = love, black = death. They are enchanted so a person can only pick the appropriate color. Any other will stab his hand with long, sharp thorns. The bushes are shielded behind an immunity barrier to make sure the emotion the roses reveal is directed at him, not someone else. The roses cannot be fooled.

[ ]Hall of Mirrors
Easily one of the darkest rooms in the school. Aside from the many magical mirrors lining the walls, only a single oak desk and chair call this room home. For a good deal of the year, this room in locked, save for the first day of term and excursions into Hogsmeade. Special permission to enter this room can be obtained from any member of the faculty but only with good reason.
00
[ ]Headmistress Office
This room, most students fear to enter, but despite everyone's beliefs, it is quite a homey place. The walls are lines with pictures of famous witches and wizards throughout the centuries. Five particular pictures, those of the school's namesakes, are fixed nearest the Headmistresses desk and often serve as a kind of council for Prof Lochley. Behind a glass case in a far corner sits a crystal prism which is used to sort students into their houses. Please refer to "The Crystal Prism" in the "What You Need To Know" forum for further details.

00
[ ]Infirmary
Can you say sterile? This room is home to many roll-away cots, and the school nurse is a bit of a neat freak so try not to spill anything.
00
[ ]Kitchen
This well-stocked kitchen features an iron stove, complete with cooking griddle on top and oven beneath, and cast-iron cookware. The flooring is of hard wood. Good food fills the well-stocked pantry. Meals for up to 100 can be made here by the some odd dozen House elves currently under the employ of the Academy.
00
[ ]Library
Fine polished shelves extend from this chamber's wooden floor to the ceiling above. Several ladders allow access to the upper shelves. Several small tables scattered throughout the place allow students space to work.
00
[ ]the Labyrinth
This confusing and bewildering room is nothing more than a series of dividing walls. Adjacent to the Headmistress' Office, it serves as a rather cruel form of entertainment as first-time visitors sometimes despair of ever finding the way through. Garish and frightening life-sized caricatures of monsters have been painted on the walls of each dead end, further enhancing the horrific atmosphere.
00
[ ]Owlery
Located in the castles only tower, this relatively cool, circular room is where the school-owned owls roost when not in use. Student owls are welcome to frequent the tower as well.
00
[ ]Quidditch Pitch
This massive stadium is where the school Quidditch matches are played.
00
[ ]Secret Tunnels/Rooms
Like any castle, the LaFey Academy has its share of secret rooms and tunnels running throughout the school. Can you find any?
00
[ ]Trophy Hall
More like a museum than a storage area, this polished wood-floored chamber holds relics of the castles old inhabitants as well as personal affects of the five individuals the Academy honours (Morgan LaFey, Celeste Clearwater, Heinrich Hawthorn, Drusilla Darkholm, and Willow Windwaker) in glass cases. Engravings detail each piece and its history. A guard, Chiron the Centaur, stands watch over the valuables here at all times.
00
Other Places
[ ]Frost Lake
This crystal clear body of water surrounds the island which the school sits upon, and is home to many aquatic creatures, both magical and mundane.
00
[ ]Mt Pyre
The highest peak within a 500 mile radius, Mt Pyre was once home to a nasty 9-headed hydra whose defeat can be accredited to Drusilla Darkholm, patron namesake of Darkholm House. At the very top of the mountain sits the Tree of Immortality whose fruit has the ability to stave of death. Many nasty creatures swarm all over the mountain, not the least of which are the Maenads -- wild, flesh-eating nymphs.
00
[ ]Murkwood Forest
This dark woods is not as scary as its name suggests. Most of it inhabitants merely wish to lead quiet lives such as most of the half-men species. But make no mistake, there are a few hazardous creatures that dwell deep in the forest. Also, there are magical springs throughout the forest: Love (which are responsible for most of the half-men species), age, hate, and healing springs. Most are unmarked so be aware in case you run afoul of the wrong sort.
00
[ ]Natural Hot Springs
These springs are favoured by students looking for a relaxing afternoon or a romantic setting for couples.
00
[ ]Stark's Mine
This mine was once worked by local Dwarf tribes but has long since been mined dry. This shaft was once the largest producer the of precious metals which, when melted down, was used to make the currency used throughout the wizarding world. Nowadays it is abandoned, though sometimes, strange sounds can be heard coming from somewhere deep inside.
